It’s not often that we interview junior technicians who are to proactive and passionate about their field of study and giving back! Nate completed his National Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Mechatronics) in 2019 and served a 2-year internship. In 2021-2022 when he was unable to secure permanent work, he volunteered at a community program, teaching the youth how to use power tools, do welding, and basic health & safety. He also started a YouTube channel, to both showcase his skills to future employers, as well as assist the students he was working with. From 2022 Nate has been working as a trainee technician, working with PLC Programming, Instrumentation, Electrical Project Design, Testing, Fault Finding, and Repair. With two years of internship and two years of trainee experience, Nate is now looking for a technician position in which he can grow his career to the next level.
