Cheri recently relocated back to Durban, after spending 13 years with an FMCG company in Gauteng, as an internal sales consultant. In addition to cold-calling potential clients and upselling to existing clients, Cheri was also involved in the entire sales function, including going to see clients with samples, negotiating prices, dealing with cross-border paperwork, route planning and logistics for a fleet of 26 trucks, and debtors. Although she has her own car and does not mind calling on clients occasionally, she would prefer an office-based position, dealing with clients and working to deadlines and targets.
