KZN South Coast company is recruiting for a detail-oriented, proactive Microbiologist who is passionate about maintaining food safety and quality standards. The successful applicant will be responsible for training all employees, conducting regular hygiene inspections, ensuring procedures are followed to prevent cross-contamination, collecting samples from the production area, assist with logging and following up on Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), monitor adherence to recipes, oversee hygiene practices, perform microbiological testing on samples as required, manage equipment calibration schedules and ensure compliance, in addition to general staff supervision, data capture and reporting. Applicants must have a Diploma or Degree in Biotechnology, Microbiology, or a related field, a minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role within the food industry, strong administrative and communication skills and a willingness to work overtime when required.
