Job Description

Electrical manufacturer and importer supplying the retail and wholesale market is seeking a Junior Lighting Designer to join their Design team. The successful candidate will be sent on a 3-month training course and thereafter be responsible for lighting design, visiting clients and determining their needs (quantity, wattage, size, layout) and the related administrative duties. Responsibilities also include some basic/ general IT support for the team. Candidates must have their Matric (with Mathematics and EGD preferred) and a ideally related qualification (Architectural Technology, Electrical Engineering , Industrial Design, Draughting/Architectural Draughting, Building Services or a similar technical qualification). As this position requires travel to clients, candidates must have their driver’s license and own vehicle. Exposure to electrical products, construction, architecture, interior design, or consulting, reading building plans or technical drawings is preferred.
