Job Description

Industrial tool concept store in Hillcrest is opening in November and seeking a Store Manager. Responsibilities include managing and training cashiers and sales staff, ensuring sales targets are met, cash and stock are reconciled daily, customers are given accurate product advice and a high standard of customer service is upheld. Duties include running the daily opening and closing procedure, daily cash-up and banking reconciliation, stock counts, receiving and replenishment, and ensuring stock is accurately recorded in the system. The successful candidate must have 3-5 years retail management experience, ideally in the hardware, building supplies or tool industry and have run a store or shift by procedure, and can train others to follow it. Experience working on Sage or a similar stock and accounting software is an advantage. A driver's licence and own transport is essential, and applicants must be available to start by mid-October, to be trained before store opening.
